How to Get to Villa Tierra Verde

Villa Tierra Verde is located 7 kilometers south of Dominical and is between 3 to 31/2 hours drive from Juan Santamaria International airport in San Jose.   

From San Jose / international airport, go into the direction of San Jose / Escazu and take the new # 27 highway coast road route. First follow Escazu, Ciudad Colon and once on the #27 Highway keep following Jaco and Quepos and keep following Dominical.

Once you arrive in Dominical, drive about 7 km past the concrete bridge and watch for the 152 km marker sign on the highway and keep going for a little bit. Turn left just before the bus stop at Hotel "Cuna del Angel", where you will see various signs, one of which "Jolly Rodgers".  Go up this gaveled road approximately 2 kms, past the Jolly Rodger untill you get to a Y and take the left gravel road (the right road goes up and has concrete). After about 250 feet watch for a sign on your right to "Las Terrazas" and turn left. After about 800 feet, on your right directly across from "Casi el Cielo", you will find Villa Tierra Verde.

Note: You will need a 4x4 vehicle to go up this mountain.

Alternatively, daily flights are available from San Jose to Palmar Sur or Quepos via Sansa Airlines or Nature Air.
