Beaches
The countless beautiful beaches of the Southern Pacific coast are easy accessible from Villa Tierra Verde and are surrounded by exuberant nature.
Every day a different beach...what a luxury!
Playa Dominical:
Well known around the world as one of the hottest place for surfing, Playa Dominical offers also a wonderful beach surrounded by good quality hotels and restaurants. Only 40 minutes from San Isidro and 60 minutes from Quepos Playa Dominical is surely a place you don't want to miss. Over there the day never seems to end, the tropical nightlife of Dominical is one of the most famous in the country!
Playa Dominicalito:
If you need tranquility and at the same time not being too far from your hotel and services Dominicalito is just for you. The water there is crystal and warm, and if you feel like eating a fish on the beach and drinking an iced cold beer, well, you won't have to walk too far!
Playa Puerto Nuevo:
This is closest beach from the villa and our favorite! A small, hidden getaway with a small fresh water stream coming out of the mountains somewhere half way on the beach. Relatively safe swimming and great for kids!
Playa Hermosa:
Beautiful beach…and that’s just right! Miles and miles of fine sand. Here the colors of the sea and sand mix in such a way that there is always a spectacular view. The beach is located between Dominicalito and Uvita.
Playa Uvita:
Beautiful and well known beach with full of services; bars, restaurants etc... Located near the gas station
Playa La Colonia:
Ideal beach for camping! Few kilometers from Uvita & Bahia, that beach is located just in front of the Bosque Azul which has al¡ the basic accommodations for campers, look for the sunsets, they are unique.
Playa Arco:
If you're looking for a hidden paradise, well you'll find one at Playa Arco. Located just beside Playa Ballena you can reach it only by walking a short path, no access from the road Monkeys, waterfalls, caves & soft sand will fill your soul with calm and peace. Ideal for lovers!
Playa Uvita Ballena:
Right in the heart of the National Park, you can walk at least 15 km on that endless sand beach without seeing a single human being.
Playa Piñuela:
Nice and calm bay. Most of the boats choose that bay to go out to the open sea. Also, you can meet fishermen and buy all kind of fish.
Playa Ventana:
Small virgin beach surrounded by the jungle. On low tide, visit the splendid and mysterious caves, you might find Captain Drake's treasure!
Playa Tortuga:
Wild beauty Beach almost untouched by human being. Spectacular sunsets and panoramic view on the mountains.
Swimmers must be aware that some of the beaches can have dangerous riptides which should not be underestimated!!
Don’t leave valuables in your car when visiting a beach. Some beaches offer paid parking service ( ± $1) which we recommend.
